Winter

O pen your mind. Think about all things that come with winter:   snow, Christmas, snowmen, hockey, ice skating, basketball, sledding, snowball fights, snowmobiling, skiing the Birkebeiner, ice, blizzards, downhill skiing, hot chocolate, snow-covered trees, presents, snow angels, candles, etc. Write a poem with a winter theme.   Remember to make your writing more interesting by using the techniques learned in class-- Sound Devices, Figurative Language, Rhyme, & different poetry types. **Remember: descriptive writing done well helps create  imagery .
